Angels All Around

My mom passed away in the fall of 2017. She suffered from Alzheimers for a long 17 years and her passing was very difficult for me. I'm an only girl and my mother was my greatest fan. She constantly told me I could do anything. I was a shy child and an introvert teenager. Her words pulled me through everything. Every year I lost a bit more of her and realized, the memories of my life that only she experienced were disappearing with her. After her passing, I struggled to get back into anything.
My youngest son was in Mexico City at the time. He told me to get in the studio and paint. His suggestion to paint something to Light the World began a tradition of painting a Christmas painting every year. (I may have missed one). These have become paintings of the heart.
So in the spirit of Christmas and with a tender heart for all of you who have been friends and collectors, some of you both... I thought I'd share the paintings and inspiration for them.
