Painted in the afternoon light of my studio on my mother's hope chest.  Autumn is such a gift.  Sometimes I feel like Frederick the mouse in Leo Lionni's children's book.  A little mouse who instead of gathering food,  soaked up the beauty and warmth of the sun to sustain himself and his family through a cold dark winter.  So I've decided to name this painting "The Gift."  

This painting is priced framed...and comes beautifully framed in a rich brown gallery frame, ready to hang.

This painting has been juried into The Regional Group Ten Gallery Exhibit.
